Fragolina's Bedroom Strawberry Milk! Okay, she also goes on the list. (Um... the pink shelves... are going to get crowded again, aren't they?) | | Saturday, September 6th, 2008 | | 6:35 pm |
This just about sums it up. At first, I was sad that I pulled the skateboarding Domo-kun, but once I pulled the skateboard off, he turned out to be perfect. | | Friday, September 5th, 2008 | | 5:00 pm |
Because I want to dress up and look FABULOUS while I take a nap in my house Augh, all the Gothic museum pictures are making me want another Kambriel dress. XD
Maybe if I get much slender-er, I'll order a smaller version of the Wisteria dress I have, but in cotton. (I have it in rayon, which looks GORGEOUS but is not very forgiving in Virginia heat)
Oh dear. I really shouldn't be thinking about clothes. >_< Meep! | | 12:57 am |
Shelob Spiderboom I had to share this, because this is pretty much one of the best things I've ever seen. Ever. (This is why I'm so mad for a Chefboom!) EDIT: Best thing ever, except that I just found a Flickr group called Cutesypoo AUGH MY BRAINS JUST IMPLODED | | Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 | | 3:06 pm |
Witchy Kurhn The cutest doll EVER! Kurhn Told Me really needs a name... She's become my favorite. That's Virgin Flight Uyoo's outfit; I've been dreaming of the perfect little witchy girl, but no one ever quite looked right... until now! Mimi? Kiki? Momo? So sweet! | | Friday, August 22nd, 2008 | | 4:57 pm |
Inverse color variants! Actually, maybe sticking to German/Austrian names suits little ridiculous foppish dogs. (Franz was indeed named after Mr. Liszt, if you hadn't guessed.) Wolfgang, Ludwig, Frédéric, Nannerl... they all seem like appropriate names for tiny dogs, no? It's a bit difficult to type with Hansel helping today. | | Sunday, August 10th, 2008 | | 2:13 pm |
Gothic Lolita Ultimate Wishlist! My dear friend blacklacewings just gave me permission to tempt her with all the lovely gothic goodies I stumble across in my internet wanderings... so I'm afraid the rest of you are also going to be subjected to links to a LOT OF BLACK STUFF. Coordinate with black rose soap, black cameo soap, or black, pink, or glow-in-the-dark skull soap on a rope. Also add a Villainess soap dish to keep those soaps dry, as well as any of her absolutely delicious soaps. Bedding: This was just discussed in a previous post; I haven't found enough that's suitably gothic for me, because I don't want my whole room to be done in damask. But there's a whole lot of black damask print bedding right now, as well as matching print home organization supplies like cubes, hanging cosmetic organizers, shoe storage, etc. This list is a bit skewed towards things I don't make myself, as I previously mentioned. (Although I included some things, like beaded bats, which I can and do make, but thought the listing was cute.) I'm also not going to do clothing, because that's such a personal thing in terms of fit and style preference -- however, if anyone wants to see lots of the clothes and shoes I like, visit my Gothic Lolita Wishlist which I made with Amazon's new universal wish list feature. :D | | Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 | | 6:54 pm |
Creeeeeeeepy creepy frivolity Okay, just when I said I wasn't in the mood for more dolls... I WANT A HUJOO! Wanty wanty wanty! They're sooooooo freaky! I'd seen them previously, but thought they were super-spendy-collector-dolls, like Moofs. But no, the plastic-cast (which I prefer to resin, honestly) is only $35. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I want a Hujoo! O_O | | Friday, July 25th, 2008 | | 11:23 pm |
Kuhrn Told Me I have a bad habit of not telling people when their packages arrive, because I always think I'll take pictures immediately and surprise them with my enthusiastic appreciation. I managed to take pictures of Catsy, but I have lots of crocheted, knitted, and sewn things that need photos. And Icebat. For once I'm not TOO belated... THANK YOU ANDREA!!! I've been whining for months about Mama Told Me Momoko, and I was completely blown away by this adorable brown-eyed articulated Kuhrn reroot in a leopard print cutie dress! Eee! <3 | | 1:37 am |
I caught up on my Flickr again! It only took three hours! Now, let's see if I can manage to keep it updated. And take pictures of all the stuff I still need to photograph.

Layers in the heat Northern Virginia Lolita meetup todaaaaaaaay: I think I'm pretty much just going to embrace the label of "gluten-free vegan" whenever anyone asks what I can eat. That's pretty much what I can eat, unless I'm at home with our organic, free-range meat. (And that's honestly what I've ethically wanted to eat for years -- only what we personally know was, to my ethics, humane.) Because, apparently, "fruit and veggies, plz" translates into "meat and bread sandwiches." I am also resolving to grow a pair and send food back if I shouldn't eat it; I'm usually so wishy-washy about orders, but no more! GF vegan or I'm not paying for it! *shakes fist* I ate the bread, because I am wishy-washy, and I've felt ill all night. To the point I'm neither at The Dawning, or hanging out with hooveraardvark"Vegan" totally translates into "I can only eat vegetables" in most places anyway, and usually way more tasty if they have a vegan option. I've been so jealous the last few times. XD GF vegan it is! I also have a rant coming on about how STUPID it is for places not to be accessible (particularly if adding a ramp would be REALLY EASY TO THE POINT I COULD BUILD ONE IN TEN MINUTES EVEN WITH FIBRO) and how stupid it is for people to build new buildings that aren't universally designed. "Oh, but it's architecture!" Yeah, architecture that segregates is not functional and therefore crap. Sorry. It's non-empathetic and short-sighted, particularly in homes: it only takes one fall off of a ladder to make someone regret stupid floorplans with random steps in them. Ahem. I sound really angry, but I'm not! Our constant teatime troubles aside, Nova Loli meetups are the best! <3 <3 <3 I am so full of love for my loli-homies! It was international lolita day! And inspired by the meetup and the fact that I finally set up my sewing table, I FINISHED A JUMPERSKIRT TO WEAR! Yes! Yes! Finally! I successfully made something for myself for the first time in four years! (Does this mean we're finally "unpacked" from our moves?) It's not perfect, but it's mine! I made it! For myself! Yay! If it's possible, I think this particular style of jumper makes my boobs look EVEN BIGGER. But it's a good style for me; I think it needs to become my gothic lolita uniform. And I am ~so lolita~ here, anyone who says otherwise can... well, I'll smother them. In my boobs. The shirt is from Emily Strange, and I'm wearing my awesome skully Doc Martens which ended up matching, completely unintentionally, but perfectly. I forgot I had them until recently, since I'd gotten them around when I got sick... and they're so comfy! Yay! Cute shoes that fit correctly and don't hurt! I should see if they have more in this style. Or buy pairs and hoard them. Mwahahahahah. Yay dress yay lolis yay shoes yay | | Sunday, April 13th, 2008 | | 4:17 pm |
Dolly babble, illustrated with Flickr! So... I'm going to talk about dolls! Like most of us geek-nerd-obsessives, my collecting, uh, binges goes in cycles. I think that's reasonable. Not having any clothes lately, I've gone a bit crazy for fashion -- but now I've picked up a few nice outfits and, ahem, more than enough Tarina Tarantino... la la la! I obvious cannot very well covet heels with my feet falling off, either. Yeah, anyway, I'm stuck at home with my TINY WORLD. I don't have kids, so you know: my doggiehs, crafting, and dolls. Oh, and the RPG I'm currently obsessed with: seriously, any of you who are gaming inclined, download Trickster and play it with me. SO CUTE. SO. FREAKING. CUTE. Anyway dolls! I must have the goth chihuahua. Must have. Must have. Must have. And I'm now pretty sure I'll end up getting Mama Told Me Momoko to go with him; I've been waffling over her for ages. (Cute pic of Mama Told Me Momoko + Morrisey!) While I freaking love my super tiny weird fantasy/anthro BJDs, I still ultimately prefer vinyl 1/6th girls for their superior posing. I'm mulling over which ones will work the best together. I'm pretty good on the Pullip/Blythe front, but I would like a few more 1/6th dolls to pose in the dollhouse. And I'm pretty sure I'll eventually get Tarina Tarantino Barbie and stick her on an Obitsu body; she'd end up costing about the same as a Momoko, and then I'd have a bit more variety, to go along with my Unoa Light, Victorian Maiden Jenny, and other Momokos. ALSO: PINK. I'm also considering Beach Rodeo Momoko (tan!) and Everyday B Girl Momoko (curly!) I've been debating getting Takeshita Street J-doll; she certainly would match the other gothlings. I still want My Melody Pullip, but I'm certain I can get her/trade for her when I eventually get around to selling the rare Pullips I'm going to sell. (I'm laaaaazzzzzzzzzzy.) And a doll I'm not going to get, but is really cool: LEGEND BJD OMG!!!!!. Okay, so it's a giant... satyr... faun... girl... thing. Most of you doll-types have already seen her, but SO CUTE! SO BIZARRE! SO CUTE! If she were small, I'd have to have her, too. Cory really wants a Tiny Nosferatu dolly. | | 1:30 am |
Highlander urges This photo makes me want to find this person, chop off her head, and STEAL HER POWERS, I mean, belongings. ... the truly frightening thing is that I only own one of those. (The little pink haired Dollcena on the left; I think she's one of the Halloween ones I have. Um. I'm pretty sure.) Dang. O_o | | Thursday, March 13th, 2008 | | 1:41 am |
Nova Lolis for life! So there's what my awesome super inexpensive ultimate dress looks like! Okay, so I put a skirt underneath it; it's really short. FEAR THE GOTHIC LOLITA PIMP CANE. That's vivcore next to me... pink and purple lolitas! Check out the rest of the photos, THEY ARE FULL OF AWESOMENESS AND CUTE GIRLS! ULTIMATE CUTENESS! | | Monday, January 28th, 2008 | | 1:30 am |
The perks of being a nightowl Live Ego Likeness + other people webcast! If you're awake, listen! I'm not sure who is playing currently (1:30AM EST) but they're pretty EBM-style awesome. And Ego Likeness soon! Yee! | | Monday, January 21st, 2008 | | 3:17 am |
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we're done. Close to 600 photos! WOOHOO! I've sorted through and uploaded them all! Mostly there are pictures of my dog and my dolls. Also, my hair is kind of cool, so I took some pictures of that. There's a lot of pink. There's a whole lot of pink. | | Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 | | 3:03 am |
Speaking of housekeeping! Oh, and I'm shuffling some stuff around on the old f-list, so la. That's why this post is public.
People who never comment, people who seem to have died, people I'm adding, etc. If you suddenly go, "Oh dear god, what the crap is up with the dolls?!" and run: don't worry, I shan't be offended. Mostly I'm trying to keep my f-list relevant to people who people who ramble on the same topics, despite local status or even the my extent of love. Not everyone cares desperately about pink and tiny, tiny things. | | Monday, December 17th, 2007 | | 3:31 am |
I am using technology So I've decided to update my Flickr. I made one, oh, about two years ago when we moved into this house, uploaded a few photos, and promptly forgot to ever upload anything again. (I have my own freaking server, and Flickr's older incarnations were not as easy as they currently are... so, you know, doubled effort.) But now it's a snap to upload things, and, well, I really like the idea of organizing my photos; I think tags are one of the cooler ideas of our technological moment. (One day I'll even get around to tagging my old lj posts! Hahaha, not!) I also like the fact that they're public, and can be accessed by my friends... I'm trying to give you a bit of an idea what my life actually looks like. For some reason, myself insisted that I upload the backlog of photos from 2006 and onwards, in roughly chronological order -- to make up for lost time, I suppose. When I actually made my Flickr is a pretty good turning point in my life, as that's when we moved into this house; everything before that is archived on my external hard drives. I am debating uploading certain highlights and segments of my older photos: our honeymoon pictures, for instance, have never been edited or organized. (I wish you could back-date them on Flickr! Chronological order mocks me!) I'm almost done with 2006, so I think I'm going to call it a night. Whew... THERE IS FUN STUFF ON THERE, I PROMISE. :3 | | Saturday, April 21st, 2007 | | 11:50 pm |
Friendslist purge! So sad for you, I'm sure. |
